They are the Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33.
These numbers possess more potential than other numbers and a good understanding of their influence and meaning can greatly improve the quality of your life.
Finding Your Master numbers
You can use our chart calculator to see if you have an 11, 22, or 33.
If you are like most people, the idea of having one is quite intriguing, but… be careful what you ask for; they offer great potential, but there are also negative effects associated with them; they strain the nervous system and have a “pressure-cooker” effect; the deep-seated and often subconscious recognition that “you are meant to do something special.”
Furthermore, and this is not well understood even among professional numerologists, if you have Master numbers in your chart, you may find it rather challenging to "master" their powerful qualities. They are highly charged, difficult to handle, and require time, maturity, and effort to integrate into one's personality.
However, they are also rewarding even if you don’t feel you live up to their potential yet, because they tend to widen your perspective and imagination and expand your potential to aim high.
The Influence of Master Numbers
The Master number meaning does not tell us they are a guarantee of anything. Yur freedom of choice is your true power.
If our chart calculator doesn’t show the presence of a single 11, 22, or 33 in your chart, that does not mean reaching an ultimate potential, becoming a master in your field, is not within your reach. Conversely, if it shows you have several Master numbers, that does not mean the path to fulfillment, or the special power of these numbers are yours for the taking; they require effort, focus, and even opportunity.
Master Number Potential
Some people who have Master numbers carry a self-made burden of guilt or disappointment, because they don’t feel they have lived up to their potential. This is an unfortunate side effect of living today, when too much is measured against how “successful” you are, as opposed to who you are as a human being.
Often, the influence of Master numbers is expressed in a person’s character and personality, with all the positive benefits that entails.
The rules in numerology, when Master numbers apply and when they don't, are not as easily defined as we would like them to be.
Master numbers are often misunderstood!
When found during calculations Master Numbers are almost never reduced. For example, your Life Path is based on your date of birth. Let's look as someone born November 22, 1988:
· November is the 11th month, so there is a Master number 11
· The day is 22, another Master number
· The year is 1988, which reduces to 8 (1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26 = 2 + 6 = 8)
John has two Master numbers in his date of birth.
But here is the thing about these Master numbers, due to their locations in the chart, their influence is limited, although John will certainly be affected by their power.
These Master numbers are temporary, because they are linked to cycles called the Period cycles.
We have three Period cycles during the course of our live: the First, Second, and Third Period cycle, which represent the early, middle, and later part of your respectively.
The First Period Cycle – an important indicator of a person’s childhood and early maturity, is based on the month of birth. In John’s case, an 11 (for the month of November). Because this is his First Period cycle, the 11 affects him during the early part of his life - a challenging, and difficult time, because he will be different from other children and young adults: A dreamer, exceedingly sensitive and gifted with an extra-ordinary imagination, his childhood will almost certainly also be lonely.
His Second Period Cycle – which reveals much about the middle part of his life, is a 22, and this Master number will be strongly felt. This is the most productive part of his life, and having a Master number during that time, means he will aim for greatness one way or another.
However, had his birth date added up to a Master number, it would be an entirely different story.
When your Life Path is a Master number.
If John's birth date had been 9-9- 1993 (1993 reduces to 4), it would have given him an 11 Life Path (9 + 9 + 4 = 11)
As an 11 Life Path, the influence of the Master number would have been much more powerful and throughout his whole life. His childhood would have been more or less normal, but he has the potential to grow into a person with a powerful intuitive intelligence and other beneficial qualities.
Only 11, 22, and 33 are Master Numbers
All numbers with identical digits, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, and 99, are more powerful than other single digit numbers or double-digit numbers. They are called Power numbers and carry a more intense influence that is strongly felt, due simply because the number contains two identical digits - a double serving of their innate qualities, so to speak - but they are not considered Master numbers.
The 11, 22, and 33 are Master numbers not because they have two identical digits, but because those digits are 1, 2, and 3 respectively. To have double servings of their qualities, combined with the value of their sum is what makes them special.
The eleven has twice the power of a 1 but dominated by the sensitivity and intuition of the 2. When the 11 is fully expressed, it is not just the Intuitive, it is the Confident Intuitive.
A 22 is the sensitive, intuitive two, dominated by the pragmatic 4 – hence the Master Builder.
Thirty-three is a double whammy of the creative, free-spirited 3, but dominated by the loving, responsible, caring 6 – perhaps the most promising combination of all.
Seeing Master numbers repeatedly
They are messengers: If it’s an 11, trust your intuition more and your rational thinking less. If it’s a 22, there is an opportunity to do something big and you need to grab it. If it’s a 33, open your mind, there is a spiritual teacher reaching out to you.
But there is more. From a symbolic perspective, the master number meaning reflects the ultimate expression and belongs in an entirely different realm; the ability to reach spiritual enlightenment (the 11) can become a reality in the material world (the 22), then lift others into enlightenment (the 33).
They are a symbolic expression as well as a guide to reaching the ultimate freedom; the highest possible realm of existence: enlightenment.
